Main Components of a Ring
Head
The most prominent part at the top of the ring that holds the center stone.
Center Stone
The primary gemstone at the center of the ring, such as a diamond, sapphire, or ruby.

Prongs
Small metal prongs extending from the ring shank, designed to secure the gemstone.
Gallery
The bridge arch area at the base of the ring face featuring openwork or decorative carvings.
Shoulder
The portion extending from both sides of the ring band to the ring face, serving as a crucial design area ,often adorned with patterns, small diamonds, or sculpted elements.
Shank

How to Measure Finger Size Using a Paper Ruler
Cut along the outline of the sizer. Make a small slit on the line on the left end of the sizer.
Wrap the sizer around the largest part of your finger with the numbers facing out.
Pull the pointed end of the sizer through the slit. Make sure it fits snugly for accuracy.
The number that lines up with the slit represents the ring size for that finger.
Tips To Make Sure You Find The Correct Size
1. Your fingers change size throughout the day depending on temperature. Measure your finger when it’s a bit warm to ensure a comfortable fit for your ring.
2. Measure each finger individually, as your dominant hand may be larger.
3. If the knuckle is bigger than the finger base, choose a size in between.
4. When using a string or paper to measure your finger, don’t let it get loose but don’t pull it tight. Doing either will skew the size of your ring.
5. If you have a current ring that fits you can measure the inside diameter and use that to find your ring size.
6. Make sure your fingers are at a “normal” size when you measure them. Fingers shrink a bit in cold weather, and they swell after you’ve had alcohol after you’ve exercised.
7. If your knuckle is particularly big, you may want to choose a bigger ring size so that the ring can fit over the knuckle.
8. It’s common for there to be size differences between your left and right hand, and fingers can change sizes due to various factors like weather and pregnancy.

- Chinese sizes: Corresponding to circumference.
- US sizes: Numerical system, with 1/4 size as the smallest increment/decrement.
- European sizes: Based on circumference, but the number is the circumference minus 40.
- UK sizes: Uses an alphabetical system, starting with A.
